On December 12, 2009,
Citizenship and Immigration Canada Minister Jason Kenney
proposed new changes under the Live-In Caregiver Program.
One of the proposals was for the Canadian employers of
foreign Live-In Caregivers to bear cost of airfare. If this
proposal is to take into effect, Canadian employers will be
mandatory responsible for cost of airfare.
